KZN Hip-Hop legends, DC Crew, have put together a three-part documentary detailing their lives and the origin of their rap group.

DC Crew comprises Moja Pooh, Shon G, Masta T, and DJ Dadee, and this documentary is the story of their humble beginnings.

Titled Isiqalo, which means the beginning in English, the documentary features stories from people they have met on their journey, with each person who shares in their history sharing stories dating back to the late 90s and early 2000s.

DC Crew, which hails from a small area in Gamalakhe known as Dark City, somehow managed to heavily impact the Hip-Hop culture in KZN at a time when it was not cool to be a rap artist. Their legacy now extends beyond the borders of the province, to South Africa as a whole.

The documentary was released on 27 April 2021 and is available for streaming on YouTube.
